Corona Virus – Doing Our Bit For the NHS

At Baan Bussabaa, wellbeing is at the very heart of what we do and while we can’t see our wonderful colleagues or lovely customers during the Covid-19 pandemic, that doesn’t mean we can’t find a way to positively contribute to the wellness of others, in particular, the heroes on the frontline, battling the Corona Virus head on. The brave, hardworking and indefatigable members of the NHS.

Feeding The Corona Virus Frontline At Wigan Hospital

As much as they deserve it, for social distancing reasons, we couldn’t offer NHS staff Thai Massage to ease their aches and pains from being on their feet all day every day, however we can offer delicious, nutritious and freshly prepared Thai cuisine and deliver it to them to help these incredible men and women keep their strength up while they take care of us all during this difficult time.

Our very own Kai, with the help of Wandee Bradshaw cooked over 100 meals and delivered them to the Wigan Infirmary this week, something which wouldn’t have been possible without generous donations and additional help from our wonderful clients and friends. We’re so fortunate and incredibly grateful to all of you for making it possible to do our bit to support our priceless NHS.

Showing Our Appreciation – More To Come

It’s been a truly humbling experience to see how much something as simple as fresh meal is appreciated by the wonderful men and women who risk their health, their wellbeing and their very lives every single day, it feels like the least we can do to give them what ever support we can. So we’re going to do more.

On Tuesday this coming week, we intend to prepare over 100 meals and once again deliver them to the Wigan Infirmary. We’re also intending to do the same for our local Warrington Hospital, we’re just waiting for confirmation. Our good friends at Neighbours Chinese Takeaway in Warrington will also be joining us in preparing meals to take along.

We dearly miss you all, but it’s inspiring to see little acts of kindness and compassion all around us as we all pull together to get through these difficult times. We look forward to more normal times and to welcoming you all back through our doors once the Covid-19 crisis has abated.
